At the time of writing - namely just after the VW group preview evening - Audi still hadn't shown its
Sport Quattro Concept
but, alongside the new A3 Cabriolet, it has revealed a surprise.
"A true masterpiece" says Audi's boss
And if you were wondering what had happened to the Italdesign Parcour concept after its
off piste excursion
at the Goodwood Festival of Speed the answer is it's gained an Audi top'n'tail and is now the Audi Nanuk Quattro Concept.
Which is to say a V10 diesel-powered supercar crossover thing with 544hp, a round 1,000Nm (737lb ft in old money) of torque and capable of 0-62 in 3.8 seconds. Directly into the nearest stack of bales. Or perhaps not, Audi boss Rupert Stadler confirming it's now got four-wheel steering too.
Why you'd want a supercar with raised ride height and questionable ability to go round corners doesn't seem to have troubled Audi, saying of the concept "its crossover concept combines the dynamics of a high-performance sports car with Audi's Quattro expertise on the road, on the race track and also off-road."
