The dust has only just settled after an excellent Sunday Service at Aston Martin but there's more from PH; today we are incredibly proud to announce one of the stars of the Sunday Service calendar as we return to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars on
- On the day we can expect to see a selection of Rolls-Royce models on display including the brand new Wraith.
- Once more we will have the opportunity to take a tour of the manufacturing plant, guided by Rolls-Royce experts (please note that photographs are not permitted within the manufacturing plant).
A charitable donation of £5 per person is suggested for the tour, with all proceeds going to the Rolls-Royce House Charity for 2013, the Paediatric Rheumatology Service at University Hospital Southampton. We are hoping to beat the £3000 raised by PHers at the last Rolls-Royce Sunday Service in 2011.
Rolls-Royce are even pleased to have us as this quote from Corporate Communications Director Andrew Ball shows: "
We are delighted to announce the return of the Pistonheads Sunday Service to the Home of Rolls-Royce, the first since 2011. This is a very special year for Rolls-Royce as we celebrate ten years since the launch of the company at Goodwood, the opening of our new extended assembly hall and, of course, the launch of our new model, Wraith. We look forward to opening our doors and greeting PHers and their cars on Sunday 29 September.
" He doesn't mention the bacon rolls but past experience suggests they will be superb.
We have 500 spaces available (100 more than when we visited in 2011) with courtyard parking offered on a first come, first parked basis with gates opening at 09.00 as usual and we'll close at 13.00 sharp. No parking is available outside of the venue due to restrictions.
