This video isn't particularly time sensitive, unique or recent either for that matter. What it is, however, is absolutely wonderful.
All this video contains is just over a lap of the Nurburgring GP circuit (it's slightly different from the first corner though), one Ferrari 250 SWB 'Breadvan' and some rather adept driving. It makes for great watching.
It has been circulating on Twitter having originally been published on Motorsport Retro last year. Maximilian Werner (name seems appropriate for a classic Ferrari driver, don't you think?) is qualifying for last year's Oldtimer Grand Prix and is absolutely on it; he takes pole in fact. Hands and feet are in perfect harmony despite the terrible driving position, the car is balanced in some gorgeous drifts and his lines look great.
But this video is all about noise. That V12 is just a joy to listen to, sonorous, raw and loud. It crackles on the overrun, revs sweetly and fires the 250 along rather swiftly indeed. If you can listen to this just the once, you're self restraint is admirable!
