What to do on the first May Bank Holiday if you’re of a PH persuasion? The Pride and Joy Car Show at Beaulieu could well be worth investigating. It will be the third P&J show, raising money for the Naomi House Children’s Hospice.
There will be owners’ cars on show as well as a few notable dealerships exhibiting fantastic cars. McLaren London will be bringing a 650S, Supervettura a Koenigsegg CCX and Meridian Modena a Ferrari F12 and 458 Speciale. An Alfa Romeo 4C, Rolls-Royce Wraith from the Sunningdale dealership and latest models from Lamborghini Pangbourne and Snows Lotus will also be on show. Sporting Bears will also be offering Dream Rides on the day.
Like most summer events, the Pride and Joy show will feature a raffle. However unlike most raffles it won’t feature cheese or a £10 Amazon gift card as the prizes. Oh no, there’s some stuff really worth winning. So far there are tickets to see Top Gear being recorded, a V8 coffee table, passenger rides on the day in a Vanwall Racer and Koenigsegg CCX and a tour of the Lotus factory in the list of confirmed prizes.
The record attempt will involve several thousand model cars. See the thread for more details. There is more info on tickets there as well, which cost £10 if bought in advance. Sounds better than a day visiting family, right?
