Engine swaps are a thing of black magic. Taking the chassis of the most aesthetically pleasing car you can find and dropping in an engine that has no right of being there can work very well. Think of Chevy LS engines in a Japanese sports car or a Toyota 2JZ in a German saloon.
Purists may turn their noses up at the thought, but engine swaps allow for unlocking of more power and the potential to really push the chassis. Unfortunately for many, an engine swap is limited by funds and the practicalities of fitting it. So if the money was there and no issues existed with installation, which engine would be going where?
In a week this thread has garnered 10 pages of posts with suggestions like fitting two Honda Civic Type R engines in a Prius to a more modest BMW E60 V10 swap into an E9 CS.
