Old American cars don't tend to register very highly on PH, especially ones that run big V8s pushing less than 200hp. But this Lincoln Town Car is different, principally because it's an integral part of a father-son relationship with a love for Americana that was unfortunately brought to an abrupt end.
The OP's father sadly passed away following a heart attack a week after the Town Car was sold. On the fifth anniversary of his passing, the OP won an eBay auction to buy the Town Car again and bring back to life the connection to his father.
Tricking his brother to come with him to collect the car, the Lincoln came as quite a shock. Apparently the response was "I can't say it's like holding your first born but it's pretty close." Excellent!
Over the years to come, countless problems arose taking the car off the road - but it's now on the road to a full recovery. Congratulations 'LincolnLovin', your Town Car is our Reader's Car of the Week!
