VW Golf Mk4 1.6, Peugeot 207 GT (for the brief time that it worked), Ford Fiesta Zetec S Mk7
The new Volvo XC90! And a Ferrari 355 in Le Mans Blue with Crema interior in my fantasy land.
Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)
"This was a tough one. Initial thoughts were to go for a supercar and find something really nice, but this is £100K Garage and you're meant to be a bit silly... Hence the 650hp R34! I've always wanted something with ridiculous, smile inducing power but at the same time stays road legal and 'driveable'. I grew up watching The Fast and Furious films, with 2 Fast 2 Furious being a firm favourite (even though they are a bit stupid), so the R34 has a place in my heart with its glorious straight-six soundtrack. This particular model looks spot on, although I would get rid of those wheels for something a bit more subtle - yes, subtle, on a modified R34! This would serve as a weekend toy and track weapon when duty calls, if that exhaust isn't too antisocial."
Datsun 240Z
Cost: £39,995
Balance: £5,055
Why I chose it: "My second choice had to be a classic of some kind. I wanted a late 60s Mercedes Pagoda. Any variant would do, but budget would not allow for such extravagance! Instead, I opted for an old favourite of mine: the Datsun 240Z. This gorgeous MZR restored one looks absolutely sublime and better than new, and in orange really stands out like it should. I only properly discovered the 240Z a few years ago but have obsessed over many ads, and videos, since! Prices are slowly rising and you can find these for much cheaper but at nowhere near this level. Car show toy - check!"
Renaultsport Megane F1 Team R26
"My final choice is the ol' faithful Megane Renaultsport for my daily driver - the king (am I wrong?) of the hot hatches. It has a huge fan base (especially in the PH office) and is renowned for its driver involvement, especially in F1 Team R26 spec with the limited-slip diff. I've only driven a friend's one briefly, but I'll go off of the recommendations... I would have liked a newer 265 purely for aesthetics and refinement but, again, budget dictates! This model looks as though it's been very well looked after and has a little extra power which is always welcome. As mentioned by many, it's a great all rounder; it does it all from doing a sedate shopping trip, to being a complete yob on track, which is why it's got a place in my £100K garage!"
