The subject of future classics is always a hotly debated one on PistonHeads, particularly with the recent spike in values of certain cars. Hence wanting to get in early, buy a great car and hopefully sell it on for more money in future. That's the dream, right?
Unsurprisingly then, this thread started by 'lord trumpton' - may want to think about changing that - at the weekend has proved popular. He asks the simple question around the attainable cars that might one day be classics. A familiar question, yes, but one that is always worth revisiting as the market changes.
The original poster suggested the Peugeot 205 GTI and all Ford RS models, to which many more cars have been added by eager PHers. The Busso-engined Alfa models have come up frequently, as have the Honda S2000, VW Corrado and Clio Trophy (as seen above).
It's an interesting read, with a few unusual suggestions amongst the cars you would expect. Just think, if you do buy a car and it does make you money, PH will be to thank...
