Subaru Impreza Type R
Cost: £13,990
Balance: £86,010
Why I chose it: “When I was younger, my uncle had a Roger Clark rebuilt Impreza Type R that met its demise on a country wall. At the same time my dad had a 2000 Turbo wagon; and from that point there was nothing I wanted to own more than a Subaru. This one has had similar treatment, and looks to be in rather nice condition. A gunmetal respray for the alloys and I'd be set. One of the best ways to spend £14K.”
Honda Integra Type R
: “I've always loved the Integra, especially the DC5. Sharper than its predecessors, the styling is fantastic; and with that VTEC engine, you can rev it all the way through and just enjoy the sound. Prices seem to be rising but I don't really care about that because as most people who've driven the Integra will say, it is one of if not the best FWD cars of all time.”
Porsche Cayman GTS
Cost: £57,995
Balance: £16,520
Why I chose it: “6-speed manual, driver focused with a few nice extras. A GT4 doesn't happen at this price, so why not get the next best thing? The Cayman is known for its perfect handling and crisp throttle response. The six-speed box would be a must for me as it is the GTS so driver engagement is key; and obviously being a Porsche, this will be great for Sunday drives and cross country journeys.”
BMW X3 3.0SD
: “This was similar to our old car, except ours was remapped. Nothing has more shock value than the 335d engine put into a Freelander sized body. I would use this for winters, towing, hauling and anything I'd need a car like this for. Nothing better than wiping Corsa drivers' smiles away when they get out pulled by a family SAV. The remaining £7,000 would go towards storage and fuel as being 16 there is no chance of driving any of them for a while. The £70 would go towards driving lessons as I probably need to think about a licence before I would drive any of them.”
