Battling the winter chill simply means a cup of hot chocolate (or something stronger...) by a roaring fire all cosy at home. Some PHers consider this a little too mainstream though and have a more hardy way of injecting some fun into the dark, winter months. Namely by driving around with the roof down, whatever the weather.
InductionRoar, the thread's OP, says summer driving throws a few obstacles to hinder the true enjoyment of al fresco motoring, including overcrowded roads and sunburn. But in the winter months, with more and more people preferring to stay indoors, roads are less congested and there is something amazing about driving out into the countryside, able to smell wood burning fires and enjoying nature. Another PHer said it makes him realise that he is actually travelling and not wrapped up at a toasty 25 degrees.
Our very own Dan is committed to the cause by driving his Eunos with the roof down at every opportunity. Aim the heaters at the footwells, whack up whatever heated contact points your car may have and go for a long, spirited drive when nobody else would consider it the weather to be doing so.
