After a lacklustre reception when it was first unvailed as the X80, MG have been down to Halford and Maxxed it up to give us the SV.
To set it even further apart from MG's mainstream models the car will be marketed by the MG Sport and Racing XPower brand.
The massive vents in bodywork and full FIA spec roll cage hinting at the sporting aspirations.
Two specs are available, the SV which features a 326bhp 4.6 litre quad cam V8 or the SV Club Sport which boasts a 410bhp 5 litre V8. That's good enough to propel the SV to 60 in around 4.4 seconds and on to a (limited) top speed of 195mph.
Testing at the Nardo circuit in Italy has shown that the car is easily capable of over 200mph. Perhaps they've limited it to stop road going punters trying it themselves!?
