Thanks to the good members of the ABD for pointing this one out. Stockport Road Safety team were running an advert on local radio yesterday encouraging people to 'balance' the speedo needle at 30mph. Apparently your ability to do this makes you a 'good driver'.
Shocking oversimplification? Dumbing down? Plain stupidity in our books.

After numerous complaints it's now been confirmed that the advert has been withdrawn. A victory for common sense and the power of complaining!
