Christ! Yep, he's back in the headlines. If there was a second coming, what
would the main man be driving in the 21st Century? That's the question being
asked by the Evangelical Environmental Network, currently sponsoring the
"What Would Jesus Drive" campaign in the US.
The Pennsylvania-based environmental group is to show adverts on TV with the
Jesus theme in an attempt to encourage god-squad drivers to ditch their SUVs
(not literally) and use more environmentally friendly vehicles.
The US Government's efforts to encourage economical transport have bombed
with SUVs, Minivans and pickups now accounting for half the vehicles sold in the
US. Average fuel economy has dropped to just 20.8mpg as Americans surrond
themselves with tons of steel and V8.
So... what would Jesus drive now? :angel:
