Motor shows are always exciting events, the chance to see new models up close for the very first time an undeniable thrill for all car people. But more than any other, this year's
Geneva expo
looks likely to be a classic with an incredible array of performance cars. This week the last pieces of the pre-show puzzle were assembled. Not long to wait now...
Elsewhere we've had a new Vision Gran Turismo concept, more gems from the classifieds and a UK twin-test to savour. Catch it all here!
Mandatory when driving an AMG
In fact, let's begin with that twin-test.
BMW M4 vs Lexus RC F
is a fascinating comparison, two quite different approaches to similar goals. Neither is perfect but they both certainly possess endearing qualities.
The inability of BMW and Lexus to create a truly outstanding sports saloon/coupe of course left the door open for Mercedes to capitalise with its AMG C63. Dan's first drive is here, with an appropriately smoky POTW here. This may be a new-school AMG, but it can still play the hooligan when required.
What else that isn't Geneva related? PH has driven the BMW M235i Cabriolet and a new GT has been announced by Jensen. Furthermore, with the new Civic Type R guaranteed to be a huge draw at you-know-where, attention is increasingly focused on the original UK Type R. The PH Buying Guide has all the information on how to purchase the best EP3 Civic Type R.

Bar the show surprises (there have to be a few), we now have all the information on the cars of the Geneva motor show. And there has been some corkers announced since Monday. Pics of the
McLaren 675LT
have been released, Aston has confirmed details of the
Vulcan
Audi R8
has been shown in full. On the latter PH has spoken to its
development boss
as well. And that's just the start...
The last Bugatti Veyron ('La Finale', appropriately enough) has been sold and will be exhibited alongside chassis #1 at Geneva. The Range Rover Evoque has been facelifted and there's a suitably bonkers Brabus set for a debut also.
Not enough? Thought not. A racing version of the AMG GT will be centre of attention on the Mercedes stand and the Glickenhaus SCG 003 bolsters the incredible list of Geneva supercars. Promises to be an exceptional show then; PH will keep you updated throughout.
Saab makes £100K Garage debut in style!
A pair of very interesting Toyotas had to feature as a You Know You Want To on Thursday. Both the
Picnic GT4 and Castrol Supra
are being auctioned off as part of Toyota's involvement with Red Nose Day. Get bidding!
Also plucked from the classifieds was this Mini Cooper. With 150hp and a host of uprated components it will surely be brilliant fun on a track. PH has also been investigating the market for used (and new) Toyobarus. A sub-£20K new BRZ is now a reality...
And finally, our content from PHers. This week's Carpooler is the very proud owner of a Vauxhall Astra VXR and this £100K Garage has proved one of the most popular yet!
