I'm beginning to think that the Sunday Services truly are blessed as, yet again, the weather was glorious for our second October Sunday Service, held at Corbeau Seats in Saint Leonards-on-Sea.
Our arrival was slightly premature, when it was still chilly; you know it's early when you witness individuals stumbling home from the night before... Who knew that the PH S-Max pool car would be such a rocket?
Upon setting up we were welcomed by 'Nick M' in his M3 who was the first to arrive by quite a margin; a man with a heavy right foot! Well done Nick, 15 PH points awarded for eagerness. However, 20 taken for your impatience I'm afraid...
It was a slow but steady trickle of members that followed with a few familiar faces in attendance. Unfortunately it was then noticed that there was no catering on site... it was a mix-up during the planning stage so many apologies. If there's anything I've learned in my short time at PH is to never deny a Sunday Service attendee their morning brew, so a big thanks to you all for staying calm during a crisis!
It was great to see such a great spread of cars; where else can you see a VW Scirocco R parked next to a liveried Dodge Viper alongside a Ferrari 458?
The motorsport theme was continued into the car park with 'Nad' arriving in his rally spec Evo V and also 'amacuk' in his decalled Celica GT4. In contrast the 1972 Fiat 500 owned by 'mchristyuk' put a smile on everyone's face and with its retro vibe.
Despite a more modest turnout than the Silverstone extravaganza, hopefully you will agree it was another great Sunday Service. The team at Corbeau/Luke Harnesses is a small operation, but they certainly pulled out all the stops to make this an extremely informative and engaging event. Thank you Corbeau!
