One of the great joys of the
is that it doesn't adhere to the same pre-1966 threshold as the Revival. For fans of historic touring cars, that is unequivocally A Good Thing.
Nowhere is that better evidenced than in this image from the Gerry Marshall Trophy at last weekend's 73rd Members' Meet. There's a Camaro hounding a Mini, a Mk1 Escort on the grass, numerous Capris, a BMW 5 Series amongst the maelstrom and a load touring car heroes from the 60-80s. The Rover SD1 of a certain Chris Harris, shared with Chris Ward, is lurking in the midfield too, en route to a podium place by the time the chequered flag fell.
So if modern tin-tops aren't really your thing, this POTW should be just the thing to brighten your desktop or homescreen. Enjoy!
