The iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit played host to our penultimate Sunday Service of 2015 yesterday - the starting grid and paddock overflowing with a smorgasbord of cars fit for such a historic location.
If our previous Sunday Service in North Wales was characterised by a small group of PHers battling the elements, this showed the flip side of what makes the community so special. Over 600 cars turned out in crisp, dry conditions with many new faces in amongst the regulars. A huge variety of cars was on display with practically no section of the motoring spectrum left unrepresented. From two rare Pipers to an Audi Quattro, from JDM Type Rs to an SRT Viper and from a Mazda B1600 pickup to a Porsche 918 Spyder, there was something for everyone - no matter how specialised their taste.
On Saturday over 30 members, including our two Adrian Flux competition winners, got a head start on the action with our track day. Early showers left the track greasy but, despite a couple of squeaky bum moments, everyone made it round in one piece. A special mention to the drivers of the Noble M12 for taking on the conditions in such a car and to the owners of the Vanquish and GT-R for those exhaust notes down the pit straight!
For those who missed out, access to the skid pan on Sunday gave them the chance to prove their 'Drift King' credentials and provided plenty of entertainment for those of us strolling around.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended - especially those who brought us treats - and, of course, to the event organisers and marshals at Goodwood, without whom the event would not have been possible.
If you were unable to come along, have a hankering for more, or simply want to avoid Christmas shopping, our final Sunday Service of the year takes place next weekend at the Ginetta factory in Leeds. See you there!
