Our first track Sunday Service of 2016 took place last weekend at Silverstone, freezing temperatures giving way to sunshine as PHers from far and wide assembled to blow off the winter cobwebs. With several track sessions running throughout the morning in addition to the usual meet up, an even wider variety of vehicles was anticipated - and you did not disappoint!
With the first two sessions cancelled due to the conditions, we were all glad to see the cars finally take to the circuit during the third. A KTM X-Bow and Ariel Atom were joined out on track by a Zenos E10 and an assortment of Caterhams, whilst a stunning Litchfield tuned GT-R ate up the pit straight disdainfully. Amongst the usual spread of Ferraris and Porsches, the later sessions saw everything from a Brabus ForFour to a pair of Land Rover Defenders take to the circuit. All in all a brilliant demonstration of the diversity that PH represents!
James and Ben were also out all morning, offering laps of the track to those PHers left behind with their Revo Audi A3 and Clio Trophy. A service which seemed to go down very well indeed, and left beaming smiles on quite a few faces.
Away from the track the variety continued. A Lola inspired GD T70 Spyder, a BRG V12 Vantage and a beautiful Porsche 997 GT2 - which literally stopped people in their tracks - being some of our favourites.
Thank you to everyone who attended, as well as all of the PH mums whose Mother's Day plans were impinged upon by their husbands' and sons' insatiable appetite for cars - I'm sure it won't have been the first time!
A huge thank you also to everyone at Silverstone for accommodating us and to our own PH marshalls: Mr-B, itcaptainslow, phillpot, Buff McHugelarge, his son Kirran, and the aptly named civicduty, all of whom gave their time to ensure that everything ran smoothly. You can check out the shots from our official PH photographer here.
More details of our next Sunday Service will be coming soon; we look forward to seeing you all again there!
