Launch control is equipped to most 'sporty' cars nowadays. We tested it out on our long-term Volkswagen Golf R and, in the right situations, it was amazing. But, in truth, how often will you use it?
Barely any drivers would dare use launch control at the traffic lights, and no, we are not recommending you try... Original poster '300bhp/ton' has posed the question and the debate is typically lively. 'NelsonP' says 'Had it on an old car. Used it twice when I first got it. Then never again. Fun, but pointless.' Another user 'Lauda' argues that he's never worn out a clutch in over 18 years of driving and doesn't want a 'driver's aid' that will cause him to break that run. Time to have your say!
