We all know that the legendary hot hatches are in demand at the moment. Just a few years ago we were talking about 205 GTIs as
£800 Sheds
; today the best ones are
touching £20K
With such stratospheric rises in value, buyers are understandably on the lookout for the Next Big Thing. The fast Renault 5s are already enjoying classic status and Peugeot 106s appear to be on the way, so is it time to start thinking about the Citroen Saxo VTS?
That's the opinion of PHer Pezonee, who cites the relative rarity, simplicity and style of the original Phase 1 VTS as reasons why it could make a classic. He has been countered by those who suggest they are too ordinary and also suffer a bit of an image problem, something the 205 arguably didn't.
So who is right? Will the first Saxo VTS be in demand a few years' down the line? Or will it remain largely unloved except by the dedicated few? Over to you!
