On the back of yesterday's Thread of the Day we delve deeper into the mysterious world of Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) cars. Acronyms aside the Japanese market is very different to those in Britain or the EU, with owners treating cars similarly to mobile phones - putting technological innovation ahead of longevity. This leads to plenty of cars being sold or scrapped, and the weird and wonderful examples of JDM vehicles pass us by.
Looking through the thread, there is an eclectic mix of metal ranging from dinky little Kei cars boasting 9,500rpm red lines and sophisticated 4WD systems, right up to the Toyota Crown Majesta VIP with its bi-turbo 6.0-litre V12.
So if you thought exposure to JDM cars meant the odd DC2 Integra or Glanza Turbo that had made its way over here, prepare to be introduced to a whole world of new cars. Take a look!
