Twin Test: Ferrari California vs Rolls Phantom

The things you do when the pub's shut...
The things you do when the pub's shut...
The PistonHeads twin test. A classic battle between two iconic luxury performance cars, tested to the extreme by a hard-nosed and incisive team of automotive writers who've been there, done it all, and then invented that T-shirt wearing metaphor that everyone goes on about nowadays. (Have you seen our latest T-shirts?)

And now here it is. PH proudly presents the automotive head-to-head you've all been waiting for.

Forget the McLaren 12C against the 458 Italia, and witness Ferrari's stunning convertible California (£212,349.36) battling for line honours with the fabulous Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe (£332.400.00).

Filmed responsibly at the PH private test track this very morning (yes - don't try this at home folks), there could only ever be one winner.

Gentleman, start your engines. Ready, Steady, POSE!

If you're going to summon the taste police... it's a 'Rolls'. smile

Don't be daft, the Dancing Donkey is a press car so no "PHer" brought it and the Roller is, one has to admit, the height of poor taste.

(And like the California, also a test car loaned to PH.)

Why be such a prick about fellow PHers rides? If you don't like the colour schemes or options then you buy one and show them how it should be done...

These Sunday Service things would be much less interesting if people with such outrageous cars did not attend. A car park full of old pork, old Ms and ricers would be much less of a day out.

Can you replace the words 'Twin Test' in the title with 'Douchebag Derby'? I think it would more accurately represent the target clientele.
    laugh brilliant
    Er, not brilliant.

These two cars are each awesome in their own way and their owners should be commended for bringing them out for lesser mortals to fawn over. Why be such a prick about fellow PHers rides? If you don't like the colour schemes or options then you buy one and show them how it should be done...
