Did you get your vote in? If not then there can be no complaints about this final selection of supercars for this year's
Classic and Sports Car show
. Celebrating the first century of the supercar, three cars were chosen from 11 eras (up to 1914, 1914-1929 and then the decades), to be voted down to a final 11 for the display at Alexandra Palace next month. Now the results are in...
For the earliest eras, the winners were the Mercedes 1908 GP (up to 1914), the Bentley 4.5-litre Blower (1914-1929) and the Alfa Romeo 8C for the 1930s. Then it gets a little more interesting.
The public's chosen supercar for the 1940s was the Jaguar XK120, but for the 50s Jaguar was beaten as the public preferred the Mercedes Gullwing to the XKSS. For the 1960s both the GT40 and De Tomaso Mangusta lost out to the Lamborghini Miura and a Lamborghini was triumphant for the 70s too, the Countach proving more popular than the 911 Turbo and Ferrari 365GT BB.
288 GTO or F40? The 80s was a really tough decision, with the Porsche 959 also available. In the end the F40 triumphed, followed for the 90s by the McLaren F1. Interestingly for the 2000s the Bugatti Veyron beat more conventional opposition from the Pagani Zonda. And Britain's favourite hybrid hypercar? The McLaren P1.
Now that decision has been made (with 17,000 votes no less), it's time for the second public vote and the even harder choice: naming the greatest supercar ever. Is a Gullwing greater than a Countach? F1 or P1? Miura or F40? All iconic in their own right, and an agonising selection to make. As before, voting will take place on the website, with the winner to be announced at the show. Choose your greatest (if you can!) and get voting.
