Goodwood. Pimm's. The waft of freshly cut lawns, tyre smoke and burnt race fuel. Cars at weird angles on sculptures. Wishing you could have a go on that hill yourself. You can, of course. Go to the
Moving Motor Show
and drive something a bit sporty - it's an exciting way to experience some of the thrill that the Festival of Speed competition drivers get.
The RC F Carbon - clue is in the name!
But nothing you'll drive will come close to getting behind the wheel of a 477hp, 5.0-litre, V8-powered modern-day muscle car in a private session, free of charge. With no speed cameras.
PistonHeads and Lexus are giving 10 of you the chance to drive the Lexus RC F performance V8 up Goodwood's world-famous hillclimb course. And we don't mean "be driven up as a passenger on a pleasure-cruise", either. You can do it yourself, on that very Moving Motor Show day, in a special one-off PistonHeads version of the RC F Carbon. Just think of that unadulterated, normally aspirated V8 soundtrack... and getting to drive in the tyre-tracks of the greats.
And if you don't think that'll tweak your adrenal glands sufficiently, there's also a chance for one PistonHeads reader to be taken up the hill on a Festival of Speed day itself - in front of thousands of people - by one of Lexus's professional drivers. That's an opportunity you don't get every day.
Fancy driving this up Goodwood's hill? You can!
You can also have a nose around the full-blooded race-version, the RC F GT3, and the daddy of them both - the still-breathtaking LFA supercar.
Each of the 11 winners will get tickets to Goodwood for them and a friend for their respective day, too.
Fancy it? Here's how to enter...
