It started back in 2013 as a build thread on a Cadillac CTS-V running stock internals but with a modified supercharger and delivering huge numbers. 764hp on a rolling road huge! But after a piston exploded our original poster's thoughts naturally turned to more power. Something like 850hp-plus with ported heads, a Manley 416 stroker kit, a twin-disc clutch rated for handling 1,100hp at the wheels and a Magnuson Heartbeat supercharger.
A few months later, Minime68 decided to ditch the supercharger and had a custom turbo set-up built for the car, based around a twin Precision Turbo Gen2 6266 kit. Now the numbers are more impressive; 1,155hp at the rear wheels with 1,122lb ft of torque at 20psi of boost and incentive to take the car to Santa Pod to crack the quarter mile in less than 10 seconds. Surprisingly, he says the turbo set up keeps the car fairly tame until the boost really kicks in, making it feel better than the supercharger.
Congratulations Minime68, your turbocharged Cadillac CTS-V is our Reader's Car Of The Week. Read the full build thread here.
