There may not be a motor show imminent but that doesn't mean the world is wanting for car news. Even this week we've had a celebration for Lotus, the demise of an interesting Peugeot and a new McLaren announced. Plenty to keep us occupied and loads to catch up on over the weekend; see everything here!
More Internet discussion awaits!
It appears 2015 is the year in which the fast estate really makes a comeback. And that has to preferable to more fast crossovers, right? The
Golf R wagon
proved to be very similar to the hatch and therefore incredibly capable across all situations. Truly covetable yet? We'll get back to you...
The closely related SEAT Leon Cupra ST has now arrived in the UK as well, giving us a chance to compare it with both the Golf long-termer and its hatch counterpart. Furthermore, 'our' Leon has been delivered without a single option - a talking point in itself! The load-lugger love extends elsewhere too, with James still enjoying life with a V60 Polestar (albeit at a puncture-enforced 50mph) and our Carpooler is very happy with his Alpina D3 as well. Peugeot RCZ

But to the good news! The McLaren Sports Series range has extended already with the 540C's introduction and Lotus has now built 40,000 cars off the Small Car Platform. There are some exciting cars coming from Mercedes-AMG too, both a C63 Coupe and a very trick GT caught testing. Don't forget Aston's DB9 replacement too...
With a more relaxed gait but no less performance, PH has tested the Bentley Mulsanne Speed this week as well. It certainly doesn't sell the name short! Finally, just to prove PH isn't just about the new and shiny (or camouflaged) cars, how about a secondhand Audi R8 V10? 525hp, six-speed manual and £60K. Tempting...

The PH love for the Renaultsport Clio knows no bounds. Following our recent Brands Hatch megatest, PH newbie Ben has gone and bought a Trophy! You can read his first Fleet report
here
; suffice to say he's rather enjoying it. Oh, and it's time to welcome yet another Renault hot hatch to the PH Hero hall of fame. How has

There's more to discuss besides Clios though. Like MX-5s... Prices for the fourth generation of Mazda's legendary roadster were announced on Friday, with the range starting at £18,495.
