Cars come with emotional baggage and preconceptions about the occupants within. Meaning people often react to the stereotype they expect - be that tailgating Audi drivers, school run SUV mums or yobs in hot hatches - rather than your actual conduct behind the wheel. What to do - live up to the image or try and prove them wrong? And what kind of attention have you had from your fellow road users based on their assumptions about your car?
Caterhams and Morgans seem to bring out the inner child in people, with lots of thumbs ups and waves. But it's not always so obvious. One PHer gets more attention in his LWB Mercedes S-Class than he does in his Aston DB9 while another user drove a Caterham in Las Vegas and was simply mobbed by photographers.
