'What car?' threads are a regular thing on PistonHeads, plenty of people users different requirements and budgets. This one is a little more refined. Having looked at threads for over 18 months, the OP is after a rear-wheel drive car, ideally for less than £15,000 but with the possibility to stretch it to £25,000.
There are some notable cars that won't make it to the shortlist though - this PHer doesn't want an MX-5, a V8 M3 or a C63 AMG. His wife doesn't approve of a Lotus Elise because of the need to clamber in and out and a Caterham doesn't feel safe on country roads. The car has to be considered fun, accommodating of a 6"2' frame, fun on track, comfortable enough to take a child to school in on a sunny day and easy to service. What fulfils the criteria?
With quite the car history, this might be a little harder than first expected. Now six pages in quite a few cars have been mentioned so, if you have any, let him know here.
