There is a meme on the internet showing a man's bedroom and his car interior, the first looking like a bomb has hit it and the latter looking pristine and in top condition. A man with his priorities sorted, clearly. But what is in the boot is never discussed. Much like items kept in bags for 'emergencies'.
Some of the obvious items in boots tend to be a spare wheel, the odd hazard triangle, a litre or so of oil and a locking wheel nut key. Ever since the 5p carrier bag charge came into force more and more bags for life can be found littering car boots as well. Reading through this thread, it seems people carry a lot more than necessary in their boot though - a trolley jack, enough oil to drown in, axle stands, a protein shaker and one PHer even has a MIG welder. Around the office some of the PH staff have joined in too; one mentioned having a tyre pressure gauge, foot pump and cable ties, while another is a little more outdoorsy and carries wellingtons, a cricket bat and ball, a warm jacket and a blanket.
So, what do you have in your boot? Let us know here.
