Well if you aren't seeing enough Model S Teslas already! The inexorable rise in popularity of Tesla looks set to ramp up further with the launch of this, the new Model 3.
With 115,000 reservations you'll be seeing plenty!
Described by Tesla as an "extraordinary mid-size sedan", the Model 3 has an uncanny resemblance to the BMW 3 Series GT and you would expect that's the sector it's aimed at. It will carry five people "and all of their gear" to 60mph in less than six seconds. Furthermore, the range is claimed at over 200 miles; with the expanding Supercharger network, the Model 3 should further alleviate EV range concerns. Like the Model S, the Model 3 is all-wheel drive.
Having been revealed in California - full launch video below - the Model 3 will begin production next year. Tesla claims that it will help push volumes to 500,000 vehicles per year. The price is said to start at $35,000 "before incentives", with UK prices and availability due soon.
Unsurprisingly PHers are already discussing the Model 3 at length. Join the chat here!
