Now looks like a very good time at Ginetta: the
LMP1 chassis
is in development, a Young Driver programme has just been announced and it took another class win at the Dubai 24-Hour earlier in January.
Practicing across Australia then...
Now there's more good news from the endurance raising side, with a pair of G55 GT4s confirmed for entry at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour on February 5. Both cars are factory backed bur run by RA Motorsports; the first car will be driven by Brit Mike Simpson with Australians Peter Paddon and Tim Berryman bringing extensive experience of Bathurst and Radicals to the team.
The second car is being driven by Zen Low, Shinyo Sano and Jack Parsons; the latter holds the Formula Ford record around Bathurst, which is quite an achievement.
The Bathurst 12-Hour features GT3 and GT4 spec cars, plus "invited production-based or specialised endurance cars", so it seems unlikely that the Ginettas will be competing for overall victory. However, given recent success in GT4 events, the G55s should be very competitive. Best of British to you lads!
One final thing - if you need convincing of just how good the Bathurst 12-Hour is, watch this vid from the 2015 race...
