Well this looks like jolly good sport. You will remember the
Jaguar Heritage Challenge
for pre-'66 cars was announced last year and today there is full confirmation of the 2015 season itinerary. Sounds tremendous fun actually.
Promises to be quite good, this
Jaguar says this is the first time so many historic racing models will compete in the same event. There are five classes in the Heritage Challenge: saloons, XK cars, C-Type, D-Type and XKSS with two individual E-Type classes.
The Heritage Challenge aims to build on the success of the E-Type Challenge, the latter also run by the Historic Sports Car Club. There are five events in the 2015 season, beginning at the Donington Historic Festival on May 2. Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Oulton Park also feature during the summer with a trip to the Nurburgring for the Oldtimer Grand Prix in August. Derek Weale is JLR's Heritage Business Director and says: "The spectacle of seeing a race dedicated to these classic Jaguars, on these circuits and at these events is going to be a sight to savour and behold."
More info on the Jag Heritage Challenge can be found at the new HSCC website. Bring on May!
