Cracks and crazing in the glassfibre can be rectified, but account for this in the price you pay
Some TVR colours are very difficult to match and might need a full respray
GRP body can cause electrical faults due to poor earthing
Hood needs close inspection for damage, poor seals, frayed stitching and cracks in plastic screen
Look, feel and smell for signs of damp, especially with wool carpets - thankfully most post-1997 cars have synthetic carpets which can be saved
Seat bolsters can be repaired; a full retrim is £3,000
Laminated wooden dash cracks; repairs cost from £300
Access to the battery is in the passenger footwell and it's awkward to get at
