Between them, BMW's recent Villa D'Este concepts have been some of its very best. As well as the pair of Hommage cars - the stunning

Quite a car to live up to!
For 2015 the Villa D'Este concept will be a 3.0 CSL Hommage, about as promising a concept name as you could hope for. At present there's only this image and a typically florid preview bumf but that's easily enough to be exciting by. Apparently the design 'exudes sheer dynamics', with those engorged arches serving 'as an elegant counterpoint to the distinctly sporty front and rear end'. Sounds promising, especially given the original 3.0 CSL is arguably one of BMW's most successful designs.
Furthermore, the Hommage promises to be a genuine Lightweight with plentiful carbon in the construction and a 'rigorously pared-down interior'. Only those components necessary for driving are said to feature.
The full unveil will be on May 22, where more details and pictures will be released. Given the previous concepts it seems highly unlikely the CSL Hommage will ever make it past the concept stage. That still doesn't stop us wanting it to!
