Playing the Bangernomics game can be very dangerous to your wallet. Knowing when it's worth putting the money and effort in and when it's better to just walk away can mean the difference between madness and sanity, as many a PHer can tell you.
This week's featured owner Prizam is quite the seasoned veteran. Having had a Jaguar XJR350, a £300 Renault Megane and a £800 Mazda 5, he went looking for a BMW E65 7 Series. He got bitten by the first one, a non-runner he managed to get rid of it as quickly as he purchased it. Onto the second one then. 120,000 miles on the clock - off to a good start. A sodden interior with no working electrics doesn't sound like a promising start. So bravely enough our OP took to stripping the car on a fault-finding mission, unblocking the drain holes under the bonnet along the way.
A few tales about getting locked in the boot with the keys in his pocket keep the thread light-hearted and one we'll be bookmarking for future updates.
Congratulations Prizam though - your BMW 7 Series is our Reader's Car of the Week!
