Talk about timing. Just a few minutes after publishing a
You Know You Want To
that criticised those people who own supercars but don't drive them, an email from PHer 'Maxige' arrived. The subject line read 'Carrera GT at the Ring'...
Here's a person using their expensive car properly! It's well known that CGTs have been rising in value recently, the combination of that V10, the stunning looks and a manual gearbox proving hot property on the classic market. The combination of those factors has meant less are being driven too; let's face it, Carrera GTs don't enjoy a reputation for being easy.
Credit to Maxige then for getting his CGT out, taking it to the Nurbugring and, as you will see, putting in a cracking lap. Given he says this is one of his very first times around the track in this car, it deserves even more praise. It's fast, committed, absorbing and, right at the very end, quite flamboyant too.
So put the kettle on, get the volume up and enjoy a wonderful car being driven really well. Top work Maxige!
