While the Singer Vehicle Design formula is
fairly well known
by now, that doesn't make it any less appealing. By bringing together 964-era 911s, some very high quality components and founder Rob Dickinson's mantra of 'everything is important', Singer has created an enviable reputation for itself as a purveyor of fantastically reimagined Porsches.
Someone in Florida is very lucky!

4.0-litre engine
; the latest Singer products for 2016 have now been revealed ahead of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance and the Palm Event later this month. They are the North Carolina car (the Blood Red one) and the Florida car (painted Hemingway Blue).
The North Carolina car is based on a 1991 964, the Blood Red exterior matched to black leather with the four-way touring seats. It runs the new 4.0-litre Ed Pink flat-six with the same Brembo brakes and custom-valved Ohlins dampers as in other Singer products.
The Florida car is mechanically identical, but uses the track seats with suede leather weave (in Sand Beige) and is based on a 1990 car. Which to have...
Singer has now completed more than 40 commissions, with owners as far afield as Canada, Taiwan and New Zealand. Dickinson added on the reveal of these cars that "we've expanded our promise to remain obsessive in the details and keep striving for more innovations along the way." What can they come up with next then? Is a cabriolet heresy?
So nothing new from Singer Vehicle Design then, but you won't find us complaining. When PH wins big we'll have one just like our remote controlled car. Possibly.
