Shared projects between friends can be stuff of nightmares causing massive arguments sometimes ending a bond that endured years of silly arguments. This one however looks to be going swimmingly. Two mates who appear to be pretty handy with a spanner got together and purchased a Honda Civic Type R (EP3) when the budget wouldn't stretch as far as an E46 BMW M3.
Some Enkei wheels wrapped in Nankang NS-2Rs were the first addition and surely not the last. From there, the boys serviced it, stripped the majority of the interior - swapping driver and passenger seats for body hugging Corbeaus. Harnesses, new steering wheel and a roll cage were a shoo-in after that.
Before heading out on track all wheels were aligned and the ride height dropped thanks to a set of new coilovers.
Yesterday was the first time the car has been on track since the boys purchased their project, we are looking forward to an update on how they got on and what future additions are going to find their place on the car. Congratulations P1H and T1M G, your Honda Civic Type R is our Reader's Car Of The Week!
