It's that time of year again! PH is making its annual pilgrimage to France and it looks set to be another fantastic year. Not only is the race bolstered by a Nissan's LMP1 return, the PH presence will be larger than ever with a bigger Friday Service and the Pie & Piston too. Here is where we'll keep you up to date with everything that's happening on and off track at Le Mans. We've even got a fancy 'media wall' sucking up all the pics and vids from the event -

There are of course a host of ways to stay in touch via social media too. We're on Facebook and Twitter, plus Instagram @pistonheads_speedmatters. We will hashtag posts with #PHLM15 as well so please join in. If you wish to follow the lads on their personal accounts you can do so through @_JD_Drake, @BenLowden and @PHMattB. See you in France!

Alright, so that subhead is a little cynical. Regardless of brand associations, for the spectators it's great to see someone other than Audi win. It's yet another victory for Porsche's astonishing Le Mans record too.
So near but yet so far for the Viper
It was frustrating to have to leave before race end but given a friend took two and a half hours to cover 100 metres yesterday afternoon it doesn't seem a bad decision. It's amazingly how quickly the comedown kicks in back at the office on Monday!
Further down the field I had to smile at seeing the Corvette of Oliver Gavin, Tommy Milner and Jordan Taylor win the GTE Pro class in that glorious C7.R. Wonder when their hearing will return? It was a shame not to see the Viper finish either, retiring just 90 minutes before the finish. There's a full race report to follow soon.
A final word on using the NotImpreza as a Le Mans road trip car too. It isn't brilliant to be honest. A small tank and a sub-30mpg average means the range is poor, the stereo is average and the seats aren't that supportive. Having said that, it's narrow enough to reach across for the peage ticket, it feels very stable at speed and there's easily enough space. I didn't see another 'new' WRX STI all weekend either. Don't tell Dan but I'm becoming quite fond of it...
That I'm sat here trawling videos and pics from the weekend shows it was yet another magnificent Le Mans. It would have been nice to watch more racing but the fact I didn't and still had a fantastic weekend tells a lot about its unique appeal. Next year is another with both the 24-Hour and Classic; count me in for both!
