Audi Quattro WR 10V Turbo
: "As a teenager my friend's step-dad owned one; one Friday night after he had done his weekly shopping he took us out on the country lanes and threw it around. It was fast, sounded amazing and gripped like nothing else I had been in. It was red with a twin Scorpion exhaust system and sounded immense; I love the five-pot warble, as you can probably tell from my previous cars!"
BMW E34 M5 3.8
Cost: £14,995
Balance: £62,010
Why I chose it: "I've always loved these! I used to get a lift to primary school in an E34 525i and loved every minute of it, all that was needed was more power so here we have an E34 M5. One of the last brilliant straight-sixes BMW produced. Built like a tank, went like the clappers and still to this day I think it looks good."
Mercedes CL65 AMG
"I need to scratch the AMG itch and with 620hp in this body style, in my opinion you can't go wrong. Beautifully designed, powerful and a smooth cruiser for those longer journeys. I was so close to buying a CL500 a couple of months ago and I seriously regret not doing it."
Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R
Cost: £37,495
Balance: £9,515
Why I chose it: "This was an absolute gamechanger when it came out and I grew up in the PlayStation generation. It still looks good today and that RB26 engine sounds immense. Extremely tuneable and this one already has a ridiculous 670hp, or so the seller claims. A tad expensive but I would keep it until it eventually gave up so in my opinion worth every penny."
Volvo XC90 D5 SE
: "There has to be something sensible so I thought why not? I have owned other Volvos with the same engine and found them really reliable, comfortable and cheap to run. I like to attend rallies which usually takes you off the beaten path. So a 4x4 with seven seats that's cheap to run means I can bring my mates along too." [Sadly Owen's original XC90 choice has sold.

Volkswagen Corrado VR6
Cost: £2,500
Balance: £365
Why I chose it: "What can I say? I'm a Shed man at heart and usually don't spend much more than this on cars that I buy. I love the VR6 engine, even if I think it's underpowered. It's easily the best body shape this engine came in and on top of all this it was once crowned the best handling front wheel-drive car. Timeless looks, that VR6 noise and I'm sure it will appreciate with time!
"The remainder of the cash would go to finding an original set of Speedline alloys as these look ugly."
