The Spettacolo Sportivo is not just an excuse to celebrate Alfa's glorious heritage. Organised by the Dutch Stichting Club Alfa Romeo Bezitters (SCARB), there will be a token
4C
in attendance. So there. No mention of a MiTo or Giulietta though.
Celebrate 60 years of this little beauty
But as we're discussing heritage it would be rude not to mention the classic Alfas heading to Zandvoort. The main attraction will be a 155 V6 Ti DTM from the Alfa Historic Collection, along with 1993 drivers Alessandro Nannini and Nicola Larini. The 4WD Alfa took 12 wins in 1993 and Alfa fans will get the chance to see the car up close in Holland. It will also run on track at Zandvoort, hopefully to somewhere near its 12,000rpm rev peak.
This year also marks 60 years of the Giulietta Spider so there are two very rare examples on show, a Bertone and an 'America prototype'. When you consider and Alfa back catalogue that includes various GTVs, GTAs and Giulias, it promises to be a tremendous weekend for all Alfa fans.
Plus it's at a great racetrack not that far away from Britain. How better to spend the Bank Holiday weekend?
