1085A is a Sbarro chassis, and although famed as builders of exact replicas sadly, not an original.
chassis 1085A was sold in 1990 to Rene Herzog, one of two Sbarro chassis he bought at that time. The car was built up for him by Bryan Wingfield. Rene raced it over the next couple of years, FIA homologation papers were issued in late 1990. Car 1085A was sold by Gregor Fisken in the late 1990s to Alcides Diniz it was Guernsey registered, and ran on the Tour Auto in 2001. The car was then shipped to the Brazilian collector who kept the car at his private race track facility where it has been stored and raced, (also driven by Pedro Diniz F1 driver) until our recent purchase.
