Fitted with an Integra 1.8 Type R engine, freshly created full R34 GT-R styled custom bodykit, low rider pneumatic suspension (See pics, suspension can go very high super low or anything in between - adjustable for each wheel). 3 TV screens on the rear shelf, shaved door handles with remote release, red carbon bonnet, GT wing & LED door mirrors, chromed 18" wheels, sunroof, etc. Just completed - never driven. Want an affordable rolling work of art to make a sound off project with? Then check this out! Bodywork preparation: The original rust free body was first completely stripped woth both rear ends taken off including the original rear panel, plus the front fenders and bonnet. The suspension was also stripped out so that even the arches could be stripped back & repainted! The door handles were then professionally shaved off and a remote controlled release for the driver's door release incorporated within the alarm system. A one off bodykit based on the front and rear look of a Nismo bodied R34 GT-R was then created. You'd expect this to be made with heavy filler, etc. but no - the front bumper, new fenders (Vented) and rear panel are entirely made of moulded FRP, so somebody actually went to the trouble (& expense!) of creating moulds for each bumper, rear panel, bottom section of the boot lid & side skirts! This alone took hundreds of hours of professional work. Note also the red carbon bonnet which was another one off creation designed to match with the deep candy apple red paint! R34 headlights were then fitted, together with rear light clusters too, right down to working original reversing and fog lights integrated into the rear bumper. Most amazing is the fit and finish. no wavyness on the bumpers, or other panels - depth of sheen on the bonnet is also mind boggling! Note also the matching rear GT wing and red carbon finished door mirrors. There are even LED's for the indicators and side markers integrated into these. Suspension: Not content with creating a bodykit that will provoke reaction and inspire conversation wherever it appears, the suspension has received considerable attention too. Original struts have been removed and replaced with a "Canovr" active control air ride system. This controls ride height with the use of compressed air. Inside the cockpit is a switch panel to increase or decrease air pressure at each corner, with more pressure meaning increased height, up to 160 p.s.i. per wheel. When you want to reduce ride height, you simply let off pressure with a resounding "psssssh!!!" There are two cylinders whichare maintained by a pressure sensing air pump. Once pressure is below 120 p.s.i. the pump comes on to restore to a maximum of 160 p.s.i. (Ignition has to be on for this to happen of course). This means you can slam the car to the ground for shows, or have it pawing one wheel in the air, etc. Wheels: 18" Chrome wheels with Dunlop SP Sport FM 091 tyres of size 215/35-ZR18 are fitted to each corner. These are newly fitted items. We can't help feeling these would be better replaced with 18" Volk Racing CE28N wheels (Currently on sale at 20% off from www.neweraparts.com)! Interior: Have you ever seen a steering wheel more artistic than this? Created by Colorado Customs in the USA, this "Fire" design steering wheel is matched to the AC Technic Instrument surround and MPH / Km/h speedo and other indiglo instruments. Note the exterior matching red carbon shift and handbrake levers too. The foot pedals are "Optx" brand and are illuminated at night when the main lights are on. Note also the custom rear parcel shelf with 3 colour screens attached to the DVD/CD/MP3 receiver. At shows on on the move this car could be used to play music videos, etc. Other video screens can also easily be added to rear head rests, rear view mirror, dashboard, etc! The interior trim is standard - and although in mint unmarked condition would benefit from a complete retrim and a MEGA sound system with sub woofers mounted where the rear seat is! Note that due to the remote release mechanism in the doors, the electric windows have been disabled. There's an electric glass sunroof and climate control air conditioning system for ventilation. Engine bay: As detailed by the previous owner, there's a low mileage 1.8 Integra Type R engine fitted (Using the original SiR Intake manifold), mated to the SiR automatic gearbox. An AEM induction kit is fitted. To improve the presentation of the engine bay there's a Spoon yellow engine cover fitted too. Note also the sports exhaust system. These use Toyo Proxes T1R tyres (Official tyres as used in the film) of size: 275/30ZR19 & 245/35ZR19, This car was based on a Type S Japanese model which has 245 bhp & a 6 speed transmission as standard and comes with a full specification of creature comforts and unique RX-8 designs. Open the front doors and you'll find where the B pilar is supposed to be - are additional door handles. These open up the rear suicide doors, to provide clever entry space for 2 adults in the rear. The centre console also extends all the way to the rear and the front seats have a rotor shaped design on the headrests. As the interior wasn't featured significantly on this car, no changes were made except the addition of a Momo leather bound sports steering wheel and shift knob. There are other interesting designs too. When you operate the remote central locking on come the courtesy lights located on the underside of each mirror. Needless to say, every possible option is included for comfort, front sports seats to climate control air conditioning and 6 CD changer audio system. Traction and stability control are also fitted - but able to be completely disabled for fun when steering this car's rear end on the throttle. As this car was used for drifting, it was modified to endow it with ample performance to impress in front of the cameras. A full Greddy 04+ RX-8 turbo kit based on Greddy's T618Z turbo. This unit offers quick spool, and since the Greddy RX8 turbo kit runs 5.6psi of boost, it helps with low-end power whilst remaining tractable & reliable. The Greddy conversion is complete and very well executed. Coll air is filtered by a Trust Airinx high flow filter then fed to the T618Z internally wastegated turbo via polished stainless steel TIG welded piping and high pressure silicone hose. The turbo is mated to bespoke cast iron exhaust manifolds compress the air then feed it via Greddy's front mount intercooler to the intake. At the intake manifold fuel is fed to the Renesis rotary combustion chambers. The Greddy system includes an E-manage custom mapped plugs in management system. There's an oil return ports from the turbo to the sump. A 304 grade stainless steel Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper Spec Catback Exhaust Dual Muffler with 70mm bore & 100mm tips gives this RX-7 a sporty sound from the back, whilst at the front wastegate chatter is heard from the Airinx kit as the throttle is released for gearchanges.. To put the power down squarely for drifting, there's a Cusco clutch rated to 350 bhp as well as a Cusco 2 way differential. Suspension is uprated with slightly firmer than standard TEIN progressive springs. The turbo kit is rated to produce up to 305 bhp at 0.56 bar. The car's also been fully serviced and checked over by Knight Sports, Tokyo's premier rotary tuning and race specialist. People in other cars alongside would instantly recognise it and wind down their windows to make excited comments and ask about the car, pedestrians stop in their tracks to gawp, and mobile phones are hurriedly pulled out everywhere it goes - to get a shot of the cars before they were gone. Despite it's wild looks, it's easy to drive normally. The uprated clutch feels much like a standard one would, suspension is comfortable and it behaves impeccably in traffic. A sign of well executed mapping by Greddy. From around 2,500 rpm the turbo comes to life and gives grin inducing performance. Release the throttle to change gear and you can hear the wastegate chattering, to remind you this is no ordinarily aspirated RX-8. If provoked it will of course drift just like in the film, but what we noticed most was how nice it was to drive. This car could easily be used on a regular basis. Despite having considerably more power than standard, it's completely user friendly. Make no mistake! We went a bit over kill with the amount of welding on this car, but trust me the engine is not going ANYWHERE lol.The engine mounts are solid, and the driveshafts were custom made by a driveshaft company, using the proper vauxhall inner cv joints, and fiat outers (all NEW cv joints..).. Over £500 worth of shafts and joints.Short shifter, abarth wheels, tints, vauxhall digi dash (all wired complete, and working).. Uprated brake conversion (Punto GT Turbo Brakes, drilled and groved)..The car has had all the sensors replaced, new clutch, cambelt kit, radiators etc..The car currently is running an additional internal radiator set up, which is vented out through the boot... This can be removed as after i fitted all this i realised i could squeese a brand new rad up front... but by this point id spent too much on the rear set up, i plumbed it all up and left it in.. It has 18" Honda Jordan R alloys (worth nearly £1000 new) with four good tyres, a cat back stainless steel exhaust worth £700 all 4 pipes work! I had a new engine put in the car in Feb which was reconditioned and it has around 34000 miles and 63000 on the car, it runs well and I have had no problems with the replacement engine, it also has had new front tyres, cam belt, clutch, front brakes, service (full service) and a new front lambda sensor when the engine was changed. It also has white xenon headlight bulbs and comes with a cd player, amplifier and pink (fli)6x9's. 6 months tax and MOT till April 2010. I have receipts for most things on this car and no expense has been spared! 4 Owners from new. Bad bits on the car like most cars have got some! Drivers seat has a rip on the side (wear and tear) wont be hard to cover up or one can be picked up from any good scrapyard for under £50! ! Small dent on the rear passenger door which is hardly noticeable and can be easily popped out by removing the door card, there is a pic of it on here and as you can see from that you can hardly see it at all!
