| The Geodesy warns of speed camera locations using GPS. The Geodesy unit is loaded with a database of all speed detection systems in the country. It's also updatable using the modem (supplied). Using GPS technology it compares your position with its database and warns you when you're approaching one of the logged locations.

"Looks pricey for what you get"They can be prone to going wrong (mine's done so twice) and they're not that cheap compared to other solutions, especially when you factor in the subscription element. When they work, though, they do the job well but, to get the best out of the basic mod...

"Easy to use, so it's used"I have an early one. Over time the data base has improved, as one would expect, and a friend has checked it round various parts he knows anyway and says it does what it claims.

"Excellent product" recommended reviewExcellent product - has picked up every single camera I've seen, including temporary ones at road works. Have used it in England, Scotland and Wales. There is now a radar detector module that can be added to the same base unit... Only negative ...

"It all depends on the accuracy of the database"I bought one when they first came out. Despite being told that the database had been produced with the aid of the Police, it was so inaccurate that I ditched it after a couple of weeks, after not only passing cameras that weren't in the database, but also...

"Excellent on bikes, less so in cars."Perfect on bike - where handheld gear is less likely to pick you up anyway. Waterproof, shockproof, and reconnect 1 second after leaving a tunnel. Without booster, crap in a lot of new cars. Minus point for this. License points ...

"Don't get one if you travel the same journey daily!"Excellent product but don't waste your money if you don't need to. Works well but the external aerial is a must as it can take a long time to acquire it's position when used through some windscreens.

"Looks expensive now against the competition"Very easy to use, can be used in a car and on a motorbike, GPS reciever can be confused by heated/UV resistant windscreens. The competition now have 'better' units available with more gadgets for the same money, but I've had the unit since just a...
