He did mention that the clutch would have to be replaced in 5000 miles at around Ł700.

Getting it checked out this weekend, may need a vent pipe replacing (hopefully). Everything works except windscreen wipers which occasionally stick. Probably never been used. Very happy...sounds monstrous. Wished the doors opened alittle further.

The odometer was replaced and now shows 6500 miles (service history shows 30k as advertised). Needed a new handbrake button and windscreen washer hose (replacements bought from Leven to upgrade). New tires, battery and MOT on day of purchase included in the price. 3 month RAC warranty also included and I opted to upgrade to a 24 month 5* RAC warranty at the time of purchase. The hood leaks in the (very) heavy rain, but a few applications of waterproofing sorted this (had been previously kept garaged and not re-proofed regularly). Overall, very happy with the purchase. After driving it (car was exported) it wouldn't have mattered if it cost triple as it still would have been worth it - for me the best overall package for any TVR yet made for someone on a working man's budget.

Underneath all this and after a good Valet was a gleaming blue Griff with full magnolia hide. Was offered it through a friend of friend for the same money a Farrari dealer had offered in PX. Had a full pre sale and allingment check done by Walldonways who gave it a "clean bill of health", only faults are small or cosmetic and easily rectified, things like fan belt perished, cells gone in battery, engine mounts, instrument lights, heater controls etc etc. Early history is a bit vague but trying to fill in the gaps with the help of the factory. Once all the work has been done I would expect the car to be worth Ł14/Ł15K so a lucky bargin find.
