Ian thoroughly recommends getting Motorcraft ignition components from a Ford dealer. The replacement parts supplied through motor factors and even some TVR dealers are of visibly inferior quality, and do not have the correctly angled plug caps or the right angle distributor cap ends needed to clear the bonnet.

Do check the part numbers particularly with respect to whether it's an early 2.8 or the 2.9 engine.

Engine Mountings     Original mountings were Ford Germany spec, and are no longer available. TVR recommend going to a Ford dealer and asking for round rubber insulator, and suggested (Ford Capri/Transit). They (TVR) will not supply, Ford UK mountings, as they are not type approved and tested in car. Team Central state two types of engine mounting fitted 1. 1 ½ inch rubber thickness. 2. 2 inch rubber thickness. (See below for details). Fitted to 1991 S3C were mountings marked FORD GETEFO 073535, no ford part number.
