ironictwist.....we're the lucky ones. It's like looking at an Old Master and 'getting it'. The appreciation of something like that...not everyone has. But that's where the real enjoyment of something comes in, not only if you own it, but if you can appreciate it. yeah, hopefully some of us will get our hands on one soon

As for the Merc numbers ? 99p each on Fleabay.

Ha ha! Very good. I don't mind at all!
But I hope you get my sentiments - seemingly not in this case, but there are people who can throw stupid money at silly things.....
So J111 you've highlighted someone daft enough to go to B&Q, get some superglue, nick a M-B '6' and stick it on. I've fallen off my chair laughing. How embarrasing for them.
Good work. I stand corrected!

Making it even more tragic... The CL600 has a 5513 cc engine. If ever there was doubt that I need to get out more, it has been firmly quashedtigerkoi said: I hope you get my sentiments - seemingly not in this case, but there are people who can throw stupid money at silly things..... No kidding. All owners of Gemballa Mirages, for a start !

Sure it said 600 on the side if that helps......

I've got loads of cool pics but only a few up online. here are some. From the Nurburgring a few years ago.. An e30 Alpina B6 2.8 in perfect condition.. what an amazing rarety! Aplina E34 B10 BI-TURBO, Aplina E39 B10 V8S... and my rusty E28 M535i with crappy alpina replica wheels.. nice line up of 3 gens of bmw 5 series thou Cadwell park - what a machine, perfect for track action and smoking styling for the hoes! In the carpark at uni... Alpine E36 B8 4.6 ltr V8 coupe... *dribbbble*. Owner spotted us and came out to chat. He bought it from RUF in germany where he had worked before his degree. It was a trade in! LOL. He also came in his mums car one week.... brand new m5 v10... *dribbble a bit more* and his Dad has a yellow bird *dribble... collapse* but i have no photos of it :'( There is a video of it on you-tube somewhere E30 M3 with every concevable panel made from carbon fiber.. even the rear quater panels.. and the air box :-O NOT quite a supercar... or so you'd think.. Guy with bonet up at services (letting the engine cool... typical e30.. OR NOT). Turns out that is a 3.5ltr engine from an M535i. I found out he writes for PPC magazine... it's now a 3.5ltr... TURBO at 360bhp or there about - i cant remember the exact dyno figure. hope he has life insurance. Carerra GT just parked up outside a café in Nurburg about 3 years ago when they were stupidly new! No one around so we had a good old stare and photo session. I noticed the different colour wheel nuts (single center nut like race car), left (port side) in red and right (starboard) in blue because I assume they are threaded differently... awesome detail! Not quite super cars but an interesting selection of different cars... series 3 coupé series 3 quattro coupe, merc E class, 1984 190e, behind the van was a series 4 coupé and my m535i across the road.. typical student house then! LOL Outside Halfords... hmmmmmmmmm. Aplina E28 B10 260bhp from a 12v 3.5ltr straight 6 - impressive. Shame about the factory fit NON-sports auto!!! Aparently the sports switchable auto from the M535i wasn't available on the more powerful alpina models... odd! Not as impressive as the pictures from you lucky folks living in London (I didn't get any decent ones in the few months i lived there but I did see some IMPRESSIVE stuff... even saw TWO McMerc SLR's!) Jon out!
