We've had our Weber Q1200 for about 7 years now, still going strong and really impressed with it. Most of the time it's just the 2 of us, and we'll have simple burgers/sausages/etc, or the occasional rotisserie chicken/pork. It works perfectly for us, I like the convenience of gas and we don't have space for anything much bigger, but dammit, every time I click on one of these threads I end up getting tempted by something ridiculously expensive and far too big for our needs biglaugh

I have a CADAC Carri Chef 2 braai (well 2 in fact as we keep one in our motorhome too). Being gas it's a grill rather than BBQ of course but is a great option. Easy to pack away when not in use and portable if you go out and about.
They've come on a bit since the simplicity of a Skottle - which were great for doing breakfasts.

We've a weber summit E470, just over 10 years in and it's still going strong. We cook on it at least once a week in summer and probably once a month in winter. No rust, a little corrosion on the aluminium bits but nothing major. Been outside under a cover and we live on the moors. Pricey, but bomb proof.

Asda had a sale on so we're waiting for this to arrive, had some more money off of it with quidco too.

Gas and charcoal..

BBQs live in the garden and get abused here so we're not throwing big money at one smile
After seeing your suggestion i sent mother in law to grab last one of these within a 50 mile radius of us on Monday morning as it was at her local store luckily.

Had a 4 burner uniflame for last 7 years that set me back a whopping £120 from asda. No issue with it at all after all of those years sat outside and has been cooked on loads! Will be going to my brothers garden to continue being used, so hardly a false economy buying the cheaper brand like some believe.

Looking forward to having a go with the half and half option for some proper charcoal cooked shish kebabs.yum

Weber Genesis II. Had a Weber Spirit, bought in the first weeks of the pandemic, to replace a rusty old charcoal thing which didn’t see any use. It was great but after a couple of years with the Spirit and gas we soon realised thought that we needed something bigger so the Genesis replaced it. Brilliant to be able to just pop out and BBQ someth8ng on a whim in all weathers.

We also have a pizza stone for it - slots right into the centre and is fantastic.

Internet enabled, wink
GTFO.getmecoat

NOW.
I assume the internet enabled means you can follow the instructions given on YouTube by a fat American slow cooking half a cow for his breakfast!
Means it pings my phone when the probe gets to the right temp for me to turn over steak or lamb or venison or chicken etc. Can also set temp alerts etc.

Move with the times rofl

That does look impressive.

Shame they've all chosen to sit in the greenhouse though! smile
Cheers, it is….

This is ours right now tonight, last BBQ was mid week…

That looks like the sort of garden you find at a National Trust house - good work.
