The stats don't lie:

"Young male car drivers aged 17 to 24 are 4 times as likely to be killed or seriously injured compared with all car drivers aged 25 or over".
I think it can be summed up as "People who wildly overestimate their own driving ability and think driving fast impresses people"

All of these posts and no mention of the Amazon Prime delivery van?

All driven on the edge at speed everywhere, all bashed and dented and driven without a care for anyone or anything else.

Usually the highest proportion of a specific demographic of vehicles that are most commonly being driven poorly, in my experience at least, are private hire taxis. Anything with an Uber sticker on the side or a taxi plate bolted to the back unvariably will be driven by some clueless idiot with zero regard for any other road user or road traffic law.

That being said, any HGV with Irish plates is to be given a wide berth, they seem to consider their vehicle should be used as a weapon at any given opportunity to intimidate any other road user around them.

Then of course there's the drug dealer spec wannabe gangster who thinks he's well hard in his Audi, who will force his way through motorway traffic, weaving, undertaking and tailgating their way to their next meeting with their right hand.

Of course van drivers and Tesla model 3 drivers need special mention.

The swarm of these moped drivers. Big box on the back, L plates , poking the mobile phone in its cradle, no signals, emergency stops and U turns.

Bristol is a blighted city with them. All delivering fast food or same day Amazon orders at an over inflated price to a nation that apparently is experiencing a cost of living crisis.

I’d also like to nominate every idiot I encounter on the school run that stops on the double yellows and crossing zig zags. Putting your hazards on for 15 minutes with two wheels on the pavement doesn’t mean you’re allowed to park there.

…and those Tier and Voi scooters, people that use them.

Amazon Prime delivery drivers, 6 month old Mercedes Sprinter vans with not a single straight panel on them. How?

Scaffolding flatbed.

In the past six month's, my brother's girlfriend got crashed into, another lady I know got crashed into and wrote the car off and on the way to work the other day, I saw one crashed in a ditch on a country road right bend. All within 5 miles of each other.
Along with the numerous times I've seen them driving around like a touring car on full race chat.

DMO DJ and his like, driving around Bradford and Birmingham in high power modified cars thinking the road is a racetrack.

Thinking they are the best drivers on the road with zero regard for any other road users and running away when they cause a crash.

The only saving grace is a lot of them refuse to wear a seat belt for some reason so end up doing a superman through the windscreen when they crash.

The overtly dangerous certi's aside,

I've been noticing Merc's with increasing frequency - Usually in the middle lane (Or lane n-1) doing 50 - 60 playing MLM.

Often, it seems, not through inattentiveness, but as a deliberate announcement of "I don't give a toss"

BO55 plates, shirley?

Of course, a VM Amarok with a BO55 plate gives you a double-dose of warning signs straight away.

Where I am its got to be the taxi drivers, they are a menace. Close 2nd is the school run mum, they all seem to have massive cars that they can't fit through a gap unless it's at least twice the size of the car.

The amazon delivery drives deserve a special mention as well.

I was surprised at this too. Also dumped anywhere, anytime no matter what chaos it causes!

School run mums for me.

The best time for me to run is get a lift with my wife on her way to work, then run back home. I don’t though as I have to run past the local primary and either me or my dog have nearly been run over so often that I just don’t do it during pick up or drop off times.

I’ve made my wife promise that she won’t drive like that when our kid goes to the primary school (she probably will though)!

This

One got pulled on our small; narrow cul de sac earlier this week. Police had followed him around the estate as he'd been speeding all over the show (EV delivery van; 20mph zones etc) - the van was collected and towed away; no idea what happened to the driver but it went on for a while!

The worst drivers are people whose opinion of their own abilities exceed their actual ability. if drivers', abilities are ranked 1-10, someone who is a 7 and thinks they are a 9 will be a worse driver than someone who is a 2 and knows it.
