Because the appeal hasn’t been heard yet. Trump had to put up a bond for the full amount so the money is guaranteed, however EJC won't get it until the appeal court confirms what damages should be paid. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/04/25/politics/federa...

trumps lost another attempt trying to remove Bragg. He'd accused Bragg of violating discovery rules by delaying the handover of 31,000 pages from the U. S. Attorney's office of New York.
That was shut down in March, trump then wanted to dump all the documents related to it, in another attempt to delay or get the case thrown, because the docs contained sensitive information. Judge Merchan said no
"This Court disagrees with Defendant and finds none of the disputed Items should be in the public docket," and "[The documents] reveal core work product and sensitive communications between law enforcement agencies,"

Thats every case now, especially the stolen docs case, where trump has tried to get the case thrown by threatening to trying disclose sensitive documents to the public, burn everything to the ground.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Dick Durbin is calling on Alito to recuse himself from all cases involving the 2020 election aft er it was revealed hishouse flew a flag supporting maga.
"The Court is in an ethical crisis of its own making, and Justice Alito and the rest of the Court should be doing everything in their power to regain public trust."
I doubt he will, Justice Clarence Thomas has refused to recuse himself from Jan 6. and 2020 election-related cases despite his wife actively supporting trumps efforts to overturn the election.

More GOP Fraud. There's been a number of proposed candidates in states forging signatures on ther applications. Now a complaint filed with Michigan election officials by Democrats urges an investigation of several Republican Senate candidates for alleged signature fraud.
They've asked election officials to investigate nominating petitions submitted by Republican U.S. Senate candidates Mike Rogers, Sandy Pensler and Justin Amash, as well as former candidate Peter Meijer, claiming they are 'infected' with fraudulent signatures, pointing to instances of petition sheets that appeared to be filled out by only one person, voters’ names appearing across multiple petitions in different handwriting and mismatches in petition circulator handwriting as evidence that the petitions warrant further review.
